Our Mission

FinanceFirst was created to help young teenagers learn about financial literacy.  Our
organization will equip these students with the needed skills for a secure financial future. Our
teaching has an accessible approach that ensures that financial learning is both informative and
enjoyable. FinanceFirst’s end goal is to help tomorrow’s leaders excel in financial literacy.

Our History

In 2024, FinanceFirst began as a small school club at the School for Advanced Studies in Miami. Founded by Carlos Reyes and Lucas Ross, two passionate seniors with a vision to make financial literacy accessible to all, the club quickly grew in popularity among students eager to learn about managing money, investing, and achieving financial independence.

Carlos, inspired others with financial struggles and the lack of accessible financial education, gathered a dedicated group of classmates who shared his enthusiasm. Together, they organized workshops, hosted guest speakers, and created resources to help their peers understand the complexities of personal finance.

The club’s impact was profound, reaching beyond the school walls and garnering attention from the local community. Recognizing the broader need for such educational initiatives, Carlos and his team decided to expand their efforts. With the support of their school and community, FinanceFirst transitioned from a school club to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Today, FinanceFirst continues to uphold the spirit of its origins, dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to achieve financial independence. What started as a small club has grown into a thriving organization, committed to making a lasting impact on financial literacy and helping people from all walks of life build secure financial futures.
